Chief Minister Sai spoke very intimately with Ritika through video call and learned about her background. Ritika said that her father works as a laborer to earn a living and her mother is an Anganwadi assistant. Since he was little he was interested in badminton. Over time, his hobby became a passion and he dedicated himself completely to this game. But the family’s financial situation was not such that he could hone his talent for high-level tournaments. The Chief Minister praised Ritika for her excellent performance in badminton despite the difficulties.

Ritika told Chief Minister Sai over video call that she participated in the Khelo-India University Games in Bengaluru and recently in the National Tournament in Odisha. He wants to play at the national and international level and bring glory to the country by winning a medal in the Olympics. The Chief Minister told Ritika that her Olympic dream will also come true.
