Due to the increasing demand for quilts, the number of artisans has also increased, while artisans are also working hard to provide quilts to customers on time. Gulzar, who works as a quilt maker in the city, said that with the arrival of mild cold in early November, people began taking out the old quilts they kept in their homes and spinning and stuffing the cotton. In such a situation, the demand for quilt filling craftsmen has also started to gain momentum.

This time the price of cotton in the market is between Rs 200 and Rs 240 per kg. Which depends on the quality and variety of cotton. There are 5 types of cotton available on the market, the main ones being fiber, desi, roclon, flat and cashmillon, while desi fiber cotton is the most sold.

Price of a quilt 1000 to 1500

Billu, the quilt maker, said that usually a quilt contains 4 to 5 kilograms of cotton. In which the price of cotton yarn is Rs 80 per kg. Apart from this, the price has been set at Rs 80 to Rs 100 for the quilt filling. Apart from this, the price of a quilt, including cover and fabric, goes up to Rs 1,500. Keeping in mind the demand for quilts, artisans make up to ten quilts in a day.
