UPPSC PCS and RO/ARO Exam: UP Police has taken major action in the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) PCS and Reviewing Officer (RO)/Assistant Reviewing Officer (ARO) recruitment exam matter. After the candidates’ five-day protest was over, an FIR was registered against four Telegram channels. After the release of the UPPSC examination notice, hundreds of candidates demanded removal of the ‘one-day exam’ and standardization in front of the commission office located in Prayagraj. The protest ended after the government and the commission accepted the students’ demands.

In this matter, the Uttar Pradesh Police on Sunday said that a case has been registered against four Telegram channels for allegedly spreading misleading information to incite students and disturb public order during the protest in front of the Uttar Public Service Commission. Pradesh (UPPSC).

FIR registered to incite students
He said the Telegram channels against which FIR has been registered. These include PCM Abhyas, Edushala General Studies, Make IAS and PCS Manthan Telegram channel. Police said following the complaint of UPPSC police post-in-charge Krishna Murari Chaurasia, an FIR was registered at Civil Lines police station under section 318 (4) (fraud) of the Justice Code on Thursday. of India (BNS) and the IT Act.

According to the FIR, misleading information was uploaded and spread through various Telegram channels to incite students and disrupt law and order. Screenshots of said channels are attached to the complaint as evidence.

Notably, the students started their protest in front of the UPPSC office on November 11 against the decision to conduct the preliminary examinations of Provincial Civil Service (PCS), Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO) in two different days. He demanded that they be organized on the same day. On the fourth day of protests on Thursday, the UPPSC postponed the RO-ARO exams and announced that it will conduct the PCS exam as per the previous pattern on the same day.

PCS exam will be held on December 22

The commission also announced that it will form a committee to ensure transparency and fairness of the RO-ARO exam. On Friday, the students withdrew their protest and the UPPSC announced that the PCS-2024 Preliminary Examination will be held in two shifts on December 22.
