According to information received from state government officials, from the beginning, some senior students in the institute’s hostel told the first-year student that his hairstyle was not suitable for a college student and that he should cut his hair. Authorities said that after the student cut his hair, the doctor in charge of the anti-ragging committee told him that “it looks strange.” After this they took him to the salon and shaved his hair.
A committee was formed to investigate
According to officials, the doctor lives in the hostel and works as an assistant professor. Officials said that as soon as the professor came to know about the matter, he ordered the doctor’s expulsion from the hostel on Saturday and formed a committee to investigate the incident.
