The women involved in this gang used to make videos while having physical relations with the businessmen and then the gang members used to blackmail the businessmen. The gang members used to collect Rs 5-6 lakh from the traders. Due to refusal to pay money, obscene videos went viral on social media.
Businessman turned victim
According to information, this gang made a businessman from Hathras their victim in a similar manner. The woman from the gang contacted the businessman and then took him into her confidence and had physical relations with him. During this time, the gang members also recorded an obscene video of the businessman.
Action against blackmail complaint
After this the gang members began to persecute this businessman. Members of the Honeytrap gang began blackmailing the businessman. At first, the businessman also gave some money to the gang members. But he became upset because of the repeated demands for money. The troubled businessman filed a blackmail complaint at the Sadar Kotwali police station.
Three arrested, including a woman
Following the businessman’s complaint, the police carried out the operation under the direction of SP Nipun Aggarwal. With the help of the SOG team, the police exposed the exploits of this trap gang by arresting three members of the gang, including a woman. Police say the search for other accused is also continuing. In addition to this, the police have directed people to immediately report any suspicious activity to the police.
