Air pollution is increasing day by day in the national capital Delhi. There was a blanket of fog in Delhi-NCR on Sunday. The entire Delhi-NCR has become a kind of gas chamber. Amid rising air pollution, the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) in Delhi-NCR ordered the implementation of GRAP-4 from Monday.
The new GRAP-4 restrictions will come into effect at 8 a.m. Monday. GRAP-3 is already implemented in Delhi. At the same time, people living in Delhi-NCR will now have to face new restrictions.
- There will be a ban on entry of trucks into Delhi except for essential services.
- Light commercial vehicles will also be banned outside Delhi.
- BS 4 diesel vehicles will be prohibited under GRAP-4.
- It has been recommended that all schools go online.
