Ayodhya. Police arrested two miscreants who took the DCM driver hostage and looted gutkha and zarda from a dhaba on the side of Raunahi Highway in the police station area. Both fled after the incident. To whom a reward of twenty-five thousand rupees was declared.
Last February, DCM was going from Kanpur to Bihar carrying gutkha and zarda from a company. On the way, the robbers took the driver hostage and looted gutkha and tobacco worth lakhs from a roadside dhaba under Satti Chaura police outpost of Raunahi police station area.
On Sunday, the police team arrested Aas Mohammad, son of Manzoor alias Mobeen, resident of Nikmanpur Phuldi, Garhmukteshwar Hapur Police Station and Naushad, son of Ramzan alias Ramjanu, resident of Madapur, District Police Station Pilkhuwa, Hapur, from Mod Govindpur Chowk Ayodhya station. Police station in-charge Raunahi Pankaj Singh said that the miscreants who carried out the robbery had earlier carried out similar incidents in Hathras, Hapur and Motihari district of Bihar.
