Aam Aadmi Party national coordinator Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday interacted with all officials of Chandni Chowk and New Delhi divisions ahead of the assembly elections. During this, he gave the mantra to the divisional leaders to win all 70 seats in Delhi and called on them to participate wholeheartedly in the election preparations. He said the Delhi Assembly elections are a religious war. They have immense money and power like the Kauravas, while we have God and the public like the Pandavas. We are giving six rupees worth of free electricity, water, education, health, pilgrimages and bus rides to the women of the people of Delhi. The BJP wants power in Delhi at any cost because it wants to prevent these praises from being given to the public. During this, senior leaders Manish Sisodia, Satyendra Jain, National General Secretary of the Organization Dr. Sandeep Pathak, Delhi State Coordinator Gopal Rai and other senior leaders were present.
Aam Aadmi Party national coordinator Arvind Kejriwal said that centuries ago there was a religious war in Kurukshetra between the Kauravas and the Pandavas. The Kauravas had immense power, army and money. The Pandavas only had Lord Krishna, they had nothing else. We also have God. Today, the situation is more or less the same inside Delhi. The upcoming assembly elections are a crusade of sorts. God is with us. He said that we received this three days ago, when the mayoral election was held. He had made all the preparations for the mayoral election. He had arrived after creating an entire maze. I don’t know what they did to break our councilors. A BJP person told me that he was fully confident of winning the mayoral elections. Its most senior leaders remained in the House until the last vote was counted. I kept waiting for the results to come now. Their preparation consisted of holding a demonstration from the Civic Center to the BJP headquarters so that the entire House could rise and go together. There were also preparations for the Prime Minister to come to give a speech and tweet. He had tried to make this election very big and now he won in Delhi. But Shri Krishna was with him. I don’t know if he used Sudarshan Chakra or not, we won by three votes. This shows that he is very powerful and has immense money and resources. We are nothing. We are very small. There is a party in a fourth state, there is a party in a complete state. We are a very small group in front of them. But God above is with us. This is our greatest strength.
Arvind Kejriwal said that this mayor is very upset and angry after the election defeat. In recent days, their great leaders are leaving the party and joining ours. Ten days ago a leader left, Brahma Singh Tanwar arrived. Then came Bibi Tyagi and today came Anil Jha. They are even more upset about it. So they will do anything to defeat us in this election. We have to win everyone’s hearts. If anyone finds any defect in us, please assure him that we will correct this defect. We need another chance. A lot of work was done but there was still a lot of work to do. He said my dream is that one day two million people of Delhi will be Aam Aadmi Party workers. There will be no one from the BJP. One day we will induct all the BJP leaders in Delhi into our party.
Arvind Kejriwal said that the public knows how much work we have done in Delhi. Generally speaking, we have given 6 free Revadis to the people of Delhi. We did not steal money, we did not commit corruption. These people take all the money home. We ask two things from the BJP. First, in the 6 Revadis that we gave in Delhi, you have governments in 20 states. Tell me any state where at least one of these 6 Revadi is given. We provide 24 hours electricity in Delhi. No inverter or generator needed. Before us, in 2014 and before, there used to be 10-10 hour power outages. You can find out in any state, including BJP-ruled Uttar Pradesh. There are power outages from 8 to 10 hours. We have to ask the people of Delhi if they want a situation in Delhi like UP and Bihar. Because they don’t know how to provide electricity 24 hours a day. Only we know this. We are engineers. These people are half illiterate. The work they couldn’t do in 20 states. If these people couldn’t provide round-the-clock electricity in Gujarat even after 30 years, how will they do it in Delhi?
Arvind Kejriwal claimed that these people supply very expensive electricity. Delhi and Punjab are the only ones where electricity bills are zero. Electricity bills are not zero anywhere in its 20 states. We have to tell the public that electricity bills do not reach zero in BJP-ruled UP, Bihar, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. If you vote for them, power cuts will start happening and electricity bills worth thousands of rupees will start arriving.
Arvind Kejriwal said that today children study in good government schools in Delhi. There are no schools like ours in any of its 20 states. If the public votes for them, they will destroy our schools too. Our local clinics and hospitals will be destroyed. Whatever free medicines and treatments people receive will be ruined. Only Delhi in the country offers free bus travel for women. It is not free anywhere in 20 states. This will also end this. We reduced the water bills to zero, but behind my back they billed several thousand. People of Delhi should not pay more water bills. Our government will return and we will renounce all bills. Light, water, education, health, pilgrimage and free bus trips for women, these are the 6 Revadis that we give away. These people are not giving. That is not his intention. They need power in Delhi to stop all these works. They do not need energy to operate.
Arvind Kejriwal said my second challenge to the BJP is that we have been in power in Delhi for 10 years. At the same time, the BJP is also in power at the center for 10 years. There are two governments functioning in Delhi. A central government is functioning. A Delhi government is functioning. The central government has a lot of power in Delhi through the LG. LG has a lot of power. The central government has immense money. We have a little power and a little money. We work hard with so little energy and so little money. BJP people should tell us about a job they have done for the people of Delhi in the last 10 years. He had a lot of money and power. Tell me one thing you’ve done. I had many roads and streets built in the slum colonies. I would have done this. I have built 10 thousand kilometers of streets in Kutcha colonies. This could have been done, why not? There would have been applause if I had built 500 mohalla clinics and he had built 5 thousand mohalla clinics. But he did not do a single work. So why have they come to ask for votes? What are you saying? Have you come to ask for votes? Why should the people of Delhi vote for him? If he had done 10 times more work than Kejriwal in 10 years, then Kejriwal would not have been worthy of asking for votes.
Arvind Kejriwal further said that Kejriwal will contest elections from all 70 seats in Delhi. Everyone has to look me in the face. I can give a guarantee to everyone that I will not give the ticket to any of my family, acquaintances or friends. There will be no nepotism. I will see the work, I will see its chances of winning. I’ll see what the public says about it. After seeing all these things, whatever decision the party makes, we have to stick to it.
