The campaign for the Maharashtra Assembly elections is now in its final phase. On Sunday, National Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, while addressing a rally in Sangli, fiercely attacked the BJP. Comparing RSS and BJP to poison, he said poisonous snakes should be killed. Apart from this, he also targeted the Yogi government for the death of 10 children due to fire at the medical college in Jhansi, UP.
Kharge said if there is a more politically dangerous victory in the country it is that of the BJP and the RSS. Both are like poison. For example, if a snake bites a person, he or she dies. In such a situation, the poisonous snake must be killed. He said that this election is the election of the Maharashtra Assembly, not to elect the Prime Minister of the country. His hunger for power has not yet been satisfied.

Without naming independent and rebel Congress MP from Sangli, Vishal Patil, the Congress chief accused him of betraying the party and supporting a relative of Patil who is contesting as an independent candidate in the assembly elections to be held on 20 November. He said the number of leaders campaigning in Maharashtra is much more than the number of candidates contesting the elections.

Manipur is burning, people are dying there, tribal women are being insulted, but the Prime Minister of the country has never visited Manipur. I want to tell you that first take care of your home, first make your country strong. After that you can go anywhere.
Kharge also raised questions about the outcomes of meetings held with Prime Minister Modi and Donald Trump and with the presidents of Russia and China. The Congress leader said his age will not stop him from supporting the Congress ideology and meeting people.
