Cricket is considered a game of uncertainties, but there is more uncertainty on the Pakistan Cricket Board and the Pakistan Cricket Team. Anything can happen there at any time. Many times at PCB these types of decisions are made, which surprise everyone. Just a few days ago, Kerry Kirsten had resigned from the position of Pakistan’s limited overs coach. Following this, Jason Gillespie was appointed interim limited overs coach, when he was also Test coach. After this, news emerged that instead of Gillespie, Aaqib Javed will be appointed coach of all three formats of the Pakistan cricket team. But now Pakistan Cricket Board has denied this news and termed it as fake. PCB tweeted that Jason Gillespie will remain the Test coach and will be the team’s coach during the two Test matches of the tour of South Africa.
Aaqib Javed can become coach in limited overs
There is a possibility that he may be removed from the position of interim limited overs coach and Aaqib Javed may take up this responsibility in his place. According to the PTI report, Pakistan will travel to Zimbabwe for three ODIs and as many T20 matches between November 24 and December 5. A reliable source in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that Aakhib Javed was not ready to take up the responsibility of the team’s coach, but PCB president Mohsin Naqvi convinced him. The source said the Pakistan team will fly to Harare after playing their final T20 match in Australia on Monday. In such a situation, the new coach will meet him in Zimbabwe.
Aaqib Javed has coaching experience
Aaqib Javed is currently the Senior National Selector. He has immense coaching experience with Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). He was also recently Sri Lanka’s bowling coach. In the past, he was Pakistan’s bowling coach and head coach of the under-19 team. Javed’s experience can prove useful for the Pakistani team.
