Chandigarh News: There has been an encounter between police and miscreants in Mohali. In a police confrontation, an offender was shot in the leg and captured by police. While the other criminal managed to escape. This encounter took place near the Jharmal river bridge located on the Ambala-Chandigarh highway. The arrested accused has been identified as Satpreet Satti.
The accused is the leader of the Satti Lootra gang. The accused has committed numerous incidents of theft. There are many more miscreants in Satpreet Satti’s gang who have carried out many incidents of theft in Tricity, Punjab and Haryana.
Giving information about the incident, DSP Vikramjit Singh Brar said that two miscreants were riding a motorcycle. The police had received secret information about him. The police gave chase and an encounter took place with the miscreants on the Ambala-Chandigarh highway at Derabassi. During the police encounter, the accused Satpreet Satti was shot, due to which he fell there. While the second defendant fled the scene. The police are also looking for him.
Meanwhile, the injured criminal has been admitted to the Derabassi government hospital, where he is receiving treatment.
