The woman’s body was recovered from the drain in three bags. Police say a case of murder has been registered in the matter and an investigation is underway.

According to the information received, the pregnant woman was murdered by her mother-in-law. After this, his mother-in-law along with her three associates disposed of the body. The mother-in-law of the deceased, along with her companions, first cut her body into dozens of pieces. After this they packed it up and then took it away and threw it into the drain. According to police, the incident took place last week in Daska in Sialkot district, about 100 kilometers from Lahore. Police said four suspects have been arrested in the case. Among those arrested were the deceased’s mother-in-law Sughran Bibi, the mother-in-law’s daughter Yasmin, her grandson Hamza and a distant relative Naveed. Police said the woman Zara Qadir (20) had suddenly disappeared last week. Police later found the mutilated body of a woman, identified as Zara, inside three sacks.
