Rohtak News (Aaj Samaj) Rohtak: A case of assault on a Delhi Police jawan who was returning home after duty has come to light. Somehow the policeman escaped from the clutches of the accused and saved his life. The incident occurred last night. The police registered the case based on the victim’s statement and started taking further action. In the complaint filed with the police, Surjit, a resident of Mokhra village in Rohtak, said that he is posted as a police constable with the Delhi Police. Last day, after performing his duty, he left for home from Delhi in the afternoon. As soon as he reached Chulyana Mode near Sampla, a white car stopped in front of his car. He stopped his car before the car moved forward.
Then the people who got out of the car started hitting him. Then a car came and stopped behind, there were 4 people in it. He also started fighting with me. During this, the defendant took the keys to his car. The accused also tried to snatch my phone. He somehow escaped the clutches of the accused and ran towards the fields. I then reported the matter to telephone number 112. When I reached the Sampla police station, my car key was on the divider.
Case registered against seven people
Investigating officer Jogendra Singh said that we had received information through the 112 number that some youth had assaulted a Delhi Police soldier. Upon receiving information we arrived at the place. He said preliminary investigation has revealed that the fight is said to have taken place over siding. The police are currently investigating the matter. The police have registered a case against seven accused.
