Supreme Court.
Today, i.e. Monday, a petition seeking an inquiry into the death of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was filed before the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court has refused to hear the PIL filed on this suit. Justice Surya Kant said that we are not experts in everything. The Supreme Court is not a panacea for everything.
The Supreme Court refused to hear this case and said: you are a political activist, go to your party and raise the issue. It is not the court’s job to run the government. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose is believed to have died in a plane crash in 1945.
What did the petitioner demand?
During the hearing, petitioner Pinak Pani Mohanty said that the Khosla Commission in 1970 had not reached any final finding on Netaji’s disappearance. His death is a mystery. The petitioner further claimed that he did not die in a plane crash in 1945, so the court should order an investigation into how he died. The petition also demanded a declaration that Azad Hind Fauj, led by Subhash Chandra Bose, brought independence to India. Regarding this, Justice Surya Kant said that we have to go to the appropriate forum.
The court had also previously expressed its displeasure
While considering this petition in April, the court had expressed its displeasure over the “reckless and irresponsible” accusations leveled against some national leaders who are no longer alive. Furthermore, the court had also expressed doubts over the authenticity of the petitioner.
Indian freedom fighter leader Subhash Chandra Bose’s plane is believed to have gone missing in the year 1945. After that, his plan is believed to have failed in Taiwan and he was seriously injured. He was burned and died in this accident. Later three commissions were also formed to uncover the mystery of Netaji’s death.
