A retired soldier opened fire on a tourist minibus in Pallavapuram area of Meerut. In which a student was injured. The incident occurred on Sunday night on National Highway-58. Retired soldier Nitin Sirohi’s car is said to have collided with a Zomato delivery boy, following which the soldier ferociously beat the delivery boy. During this time, when students traveling on the passing bus stopped the bus and intervened, the soldier became enraged.
The police confiscated the gun
He allegedly started shooting on the bus with his government pistol. It is said that the bus was returning from Haridwar, in which a bullet from a college student from Noida passed. Police arrived at the scene after receiving information about the shooting and arrested the retired soldier. The police also confiscated the government pistol.

In this regard, Ayush Vikram of Meerut city SP said that around 9:30 pm on Sunday night, the Pallavapuram police had received information that firing had taken place near Palhera. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and upon questioning, it was found that there was a person named Anirudh Sharma. Who works at Zomato and when he was leaving on his bike, a vehicle overtook him. The car he overtook belonged to a retired military man.
While overtaking, Anirudh Sharma’s bike collided with the car of a retired soldier. Due to which there was a fight between both of them. Seeing the fight, students traveling in a minibus coming from behind tried to intervene. Nitin Sirohi shot this retired soldier twice. So student Hriday Gupta was shot. Who was admitted to the district hospital.
Currently its condition is good. Meanwhile, Nitin Sirohi has been arrested. In addition, the government pistol with which the shot was fired was also confiscated.
