3. The National Human Rights Commission has taken a strict stand in the case of death of 12 newborns in the Maharani Lakshmibai Medical College fire in Jhansi. The Commission has considered this incident as a serious violation of human rights.

8. Work on installing smart meters on 30,000 transformers of Power Corporation has begun in Ambedkar Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. So far, smart meters have been installed in 50 transformers. In the next three months, the work to install smart meters in all transformers will be completed. The smart meter installation work has started in three phases. The consumption of each unit can be counted through a smart meter.
