The government is taking a decision to amend the law regarding Waqf properties, so this amendment to the bill has become a constant topic of discussion among Muslim religious leaders and people of the community. Now, Congress MP from Saharanpur Imran Masood has made a big statement regarding the amendment bill. Imran Masood says that the way the government is guarding the Waqf properties, the government’s intentions are not correct.
In fact, Congress MP Imran Masood says: “90% of Waqf property is centuries old, government says user will abolish Waqf. Waqf has properties that are between 100 and 150 years old. Imran Masood added: “According to the Constitution, we have full right to carry out our religious activities. But still the government wants to ban it.
Masood said that Waqf does not mean that it can be manufactured anywhere or that any property can be acquired through Waqf. Only one who voluntarily surrenders his property to the Waqf can be a Waqf.
