Sanjay Roy, the main accused in the rape and murder case that took place at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, appeared before the Sealdah court on Monday. Amid tight security, he was taken to court in a police van, where they honked the horn to silence his voice. In addition, they also beat his hands in the van so that his voice could not reach the journalists.
The main accused, Sanjay Roy, while speaking to the media from the van during the last hearing, had made sensational allegations against former Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal. He said he is completely innocent. He has been involved in this case. He has not committed any crime. Former Commissioner of Police and Special Deputy Commissioner (Detective Department) have hatched a conspiracy to trap him.
On Monday, for the fifth day, Sanjay Roy was produced before the court as part of the case, the hearing of which continues day by day. Eyewitnesses said that during the hearing, the police continuously honked the vehicle horn to prevent Sanjay from speaking. He also struck the vehicle while taking it to the court building. A small van was used to transport it.
Even in the last hearing, Sanjay Roy had told the court, “I have not committed rape or murder. I am innocent. I have been implicated. The government has implicated me. I have been threatened to remain silent. My department has threatened “After this sensational allegation against former police commissioner Vineet Goyal, the Governor of West Bengal had asked the state government to investigate the matter.
However, in its charge sheet, CBI has pointed out Sanjay Roy as the real culprit. In addition to this, this case has been classified as rape instead of gang rape. According to the charge sheet, civic man Sanjay Roy committed the crime. The semen sample taken from the victim has been collated. CBI claims that the CFSL report has confirmed that the semen belongs to Sanjay Roy.
On the basis of many physical evidence, circumstantial evidence and forensic reports, it is proven that Sanjay Roy committed this crime alone. On August 9, the short hair found at the crime scene was sent to the forensic laboratory for examination. In the report, this hair is said to be that of Sanjay Roy. The Kolkata Police arrested him within 24 hours of this heinous incident.
After 100 witnesses, 12 polygraph tests, CCTV cameras, forensic report, call details and mobile location, earphones and statement of the accused, CBI has filed the charge sheet. In this, CBI also made it clear that the trainee doctor was raped and not gangraped. According to this CBI charge sheet, three things have proven to be the most important in solving this case.
The first of them are the images obtained from the CCTV camera outside the seminar room. In these pictures, Sanjay Roy is seen entering the seminar hall at 4 am on August 9. After half an hour he leaves. During this time, apart from Sanjay, no one else entered or left the seminar room. Secondly, the earphones of Sanjay Roy’s mobile phone were found in the seminar room. Which was connected to your Bluetooth.
Thirdly, the most important thing was the forensic report. Sanjay’s DNA matched blood found on the doctor-in-training’s fingernails. Apart from this, Seeman’s DNA also matched that of Sanjay. Sanjay’s DNA sample was also found in the private part. According to the chargesheet, Sanjay had consumed a lot of alcohol on the night of the incident. Drunk, he arrived at the third floor of the hospital at four in the morning.
