If you have an LLB degree, you can become an officer in the Indian Army. In fact, the Indian Army has released the official notification for the 35th Judge Advocate General (JAG) Entry Programme. This entry scheme will start in October 2025. Under this scheme, single men and women with an LLB degree will become Short Service Commission (SSC) officers in the JAG branch of the Indian Army. Candidates should note that they have only 10 days to apply, because the last date to apply for this recruitment is November 28. Under this recruitment drive, a total of eight officer posts will be filled, of which four posts are reserved for men and four posts are reserved for women.

Indian Army 35th JAG Entry Plan: What are the eligibility criteria?
Candidates must have an LLB degree (3 year course after graduation or 5 year course after completing 10+2) from a recognized university with at least 55% marks. Apart from this, candidates must have a valid CLAT PG 2024 score, only then they will be eligible to apply. Not only this, candidates must also be eligible to register as lawyers with the Bar Council of India or the State Bar Council. The degree must be from a college or university recognized by the Bar Council of India.
