Supporters of former Maharashtra Home Minister and NCP (Sharad faction) leader Anil Deshmukh claim that he was attacked in Katol assembly constituency in Nagpur. Anil Deshmukh’s son Salil Deshmukh is contesting from Katol. Anil Deshmukh’s car was stoned and he was injured. Anil Deshmukh was heading towards Katol town from Teen Kheda Bishnoor Road after finishing the election meeting from Narkhed in Katol assembly constituency in Nagpur, when unknown mischievous elements pelted stones at his car on Jalalkheda Road.
Anil Deshmukh was injured in the head after this stone pelting. He was shifted to Katol hospital for treatment. He had gone to Katol to campaign for his son Salil Deshmukh. Police have begun investigating the incident and are working to identify the attackers. More information is expected as the investigation progresses.
