A unique case of fraud has come to light in Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Here in Kharsali village, a fake tantrik cheated a couple of rupees 87 lakh by claiming that he was blessed by God Aghornath. The victim couple registered a case in this regard at the Selaqui police station. The police launched an investigation and began searching for the accused.

Police said the victim couple are residents of Madhukar Vihar, Dehradun. The victim’s wife Aradhana Thapliyal filed a complaint and said that she is a government teacher in Nainbagh block of Tehri district. While her husband works in Madhya Pradesh.

He said: In the year 2018, when I met Pankaj Panwar, a resident of Kharsali, Uttarkashi, he told me that he has the blessings of God Aghornath. Everything that comes out of his mouth becomes reality. Because of his religious faith he invited him to his house. After this he started coming and going home. In the year 2019, the accused showed her husband the fear of the harmful effects that the two plots purchased in Bhuwala and Shishambara would have on the children and asked him to sell them soon.

‘The husband fell into the trap’

The victim said: Pankaj also said that the responsibility of selling the plot will be his. Then the husband fell into her trap and sold the land to the buyer she had brought. Pankaj also kept the money he got from the sale of the land. After this, the accused showed the husband an under-construction mall near Rispana Bridge on Haridwar Road, Dehradun and told him that he would get him a flat for Rs 1 million. They will benefit from this.

The defendant said that this shopping center belonged to an acquaintance. The husband fell into her trap and deposited around Rs 87 lakh in her bank account. Apart from this, he continued to charge sometimes Rs 10,000 and sometimes Rs 22,000 in the name of performing puja for the family in the village. But now he’s missing. Neither is picking up the phone.

The search for the accused continues

The Selaqui police station chief said a case has been registered against the accused and the matter is being investigated. He is currently a fugitive. Your search continues. The accused will be arrested soon.
