The district administration took seizure action at the residence of SP MLA Zahid Jamal Baig in Bhadohi, UP. The seizure process continued late into the night at the MLA’s three-story house. The items seized from the MLA’s residence were removed in about three vehicles. During the seizure by the police and administrative team, items such as a crib, bicycle, table, chair, inverter, fan, clock, decorative objects, utensils, dining table, etc. were seized. Police also shared his video on social media.
In fact, on September 8, a minor maid committed suicide in SP MLA Zahid Jamal Baig’s three-storey house in Bhadohi. After this, the police released another minor maid from the MLA’s house. In this case, the police had registered a case against the MLA, his wife Seema Baig and their son on charges of child labour, bonded labor and abetment to suicide, among other matters.
The police arrested the MLA’s son on September 18, following which the MLA surrendered before the court on September 19. Meanwhile, the MLA’s wife Seema Baig absconded. She did not appear even after the court order. In such a situation, the MP-MLA court ordered the seizure.
According to the police, the MLA’s three-storey house has been attached on the court’s order. MLA’s wife Seema Baig did not appear even after the court order. Therefore, a writ of seizure action was issued. In compliance with this, Bhadohi police have taken action. It is currently difficult to determine the approximate value of the seized assets. Items are currently being listed.
