Team India (Senior Women) squad for Tour of Australia announced: The Indian cricket team is currently touring Australia. The 5-match Test series between the two teams will begin in Perth from November 22. Fans are eagerly waiting for this match. Meanwhile, some big news has emerged. Team India has been announced for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Australia. The BCCI Women’s Selection Committee has announced the 16-member Indian team. The command of the team will be in the hands of Harmanpreet Kaur, while Smriti Mandhana will play the role of vice-captain. Two goalkeepers, Yastika Bhatia and Richa Ghosh, have been included in the team.
The selectors once again did not give any chance to 20-year-old right-handed batsman Shefali Verma. His recent form in ODIs has been disappointing. Shefali scored only 108 runs in 6 matches this year, of which 33 runs is the best score. In December last year, he was dropped from the team due to his poor performance during the home ODI series against Australia.
The ODI series will begin from December 5. Subsequently, the second match will be played on December 8 while the last match of the series will be played on December 11. The first two ODIs will be played at Allan Border Field in Brisbane, after which the final match of the series will be played at the WACA Ground in Perth, which is part of the ICC Women’s Championship. Recently, Team India defeated New Zealand 2-1 in the ODI series at home and will now look to defeat Australia at their own home. However, this will not be so easy for team India.
