District Council CEO Manoj Kumar today started a special campaign on the occasion of World Toilet Day and gave necessary guidelines while meeting the staff of Swachh Bharat Mission Gramin. This campaign will run until December 10. On the occasion of World Toilet Day, a special campaign was started by starting a signature campaign in various offices, towns, schools, etc. and cleaning individual community toilets. This campaign will run until December 10.

During this campaign, a domestic toilet competition will be held at the village, block and district levels.

He said that during this period, this campaign will also be carried out under the slogans Hamara Shauchalay Hamar Samman Top and Shauchalay Sanware Jeevan Niharen etc. The occasion will also be used to raise awareness about access to and use of clean and safe toilets and the overall relevance of hygiene. He said open defecation free situation should be maintained across the state. By conducting a ground level survey to identify those houses that do not have bathrooms, we will also ensure that those beneficiaries receive approval for bathrooms. Additionally, camps will be organized at the village level to conduct registration drives, sanction orders to all eligible beneficiaries and expedite construction of toilets.

He said that during this campaign there will be a household toilet competition in which the best individual household competition will be organized at the Gram Panchayat level. The best two from each Gram Panchayat will be selected and sent to the block level, the three best individual household toilets from all the Panchayat at the block level will be selected and sent to the district level and three will be honored at the block level. At the district level, among the best received from all sections, the five best individual domestic toilets in the district will be selected and awarded. Furthermore, in the Community Sanitation Complex Toilet Competition, three best community sanitation complex toilets will be selected from each section and sent to the district and two best community sanitation complex toilets will be selected at the district level. Also, throughout this campaign, villagers will be made aware about cleanliness.
