Following the instructions of South Range Additional Director General of Police Saurabh Singh and Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rajpurohit, Rewari Police carried out a district-wide special control drive from November 12 to 18 for prevention of criminal activities and road safety. During the special monitoring campaign, police teams from across the district stood at all major junctions and observed moving vehicles. Vehicles covered with black film, vehicles without number plates and vehicles without high security number plates were stopped and challans were issued. Similarly, Challan proceedings have also been carried out against vehicles with wrong number plates.
According to police spokesperson, during checks at checkpoints, Rewari police checked around 5,376 vehicles in the last one week and challenged 1,070 drivers under the Motor Vehicles Act and impounded 89 vehicles for violating norms. traffic. These vehicles mainly include 8 bullet-breaking motorcycles, 29 black film vehicles, 141 without license plate, 123 without helmet, 163 without high security license plate, 40 without seat belt, 75 incorrect parking and 113 school vehicles. Additionally, a fine of Rs 27 lakh 58 thousand 800 was imposed on them.
