Suicide attack in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province
On Tuesday, 10 soldiers were killed and 7 people were seriously injured in a suicide attack in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The Hafiz Gul Bahadur armed group claimed responsibility for the attack. A day earlier, on Monday, eight soldiers died in a violent clash in the same border area with Afghanistan. There has been an uproar over the death of 18 soldiers in the last 24 hours. There is an atmosphere of panic among the people due to the continuous attacks.
An intelligence official said of the attack in Bannu on Tuesday that a suspected suicide bomber detonated an explosives-laden vehicle near the checkpoint. After which his companions began to shoot. In which 10 people were killed and seven injured in the attack. In addition, police vehicles have also been damaged.
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan took responsibility for the attack
According to the official, eight soldiers and nine terrorists were killed in a violent clash in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday. Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also known as the Pakistani Taliban, claimed responsibility for the attack. The TTP had said this was in response to a search by security forces against one of its fighters.
