UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made many important announcements ahead of the upcoming festivals. It has directed to pay special attention to better maintain law and order in the state during festivals and take appropriate measures for cleanliness. Likewise, CM Yogi has announced 24-hour power supply in the state from October 28 to November 15.
In the state level review meeting, the Chief Minister directed the officials to smoothly organize Diwali, Dhanteras, Depotsav, Dev Deepawali and Chhath Puja. All divisional commissioners, district magistrates, additional director general of police, commissioner of police and many senior officers were present in the meeting. The Chief Minister said that extreme vigilance should be taken from the point of view of security in the state during festivals. Deployment of additional police forces in sensitive areas should be ensured and special plans should be drawn up for smooth traffic in each city. The Chief Minister also ordered that 24-hour power supply be ensured in the state from October 28 to November 15, so that people do not face any inconvenience during the festivals.
Yogi gave instructions
CM Yogi said that festivals in the state should be celebrated with joy and happiness and people’s facilities should be taken maximum care of. He also gave instructions to take strict action against miscreants and anarchist elements. The grand Depotsav event in Ayodhya will be celebrated on October 30 this year. This event is being organized for the first time after the consecration of Lord Shri Ram Lalla at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple, and a larger presence of devotees is expected on this occasion. Also, Dev Diwali will be organized in Varanasi on November 15, for which special security and crowd management measures will have to be taken. All necessary preparations must be completed on time as per the dignity of Depotsav and Dev Diwali.
The Chhath festival should be organized as a standard “cleanliness and safety” festival. The Urban Development Department and Panchayati Raj should make special efforts to maintain cleanliness across the state during the Chhath festival. Respecting the faith of the people, it must be guaranteed that the rivers are not polluted. In addition, the ghats must be cleaned and traffic management taken care of.
Action will be taken against wrongdoers
The Chief Minister ordered that festivals be celebrated with joy and gaiety, people’s premises be taken care of and strict action be taken against miscreants and unruly elements. Firecracker shops and warehouses should be kept away from populated areas and adequate arrangements should be made to ensure that fire services are present everywhere. Police surveillance on social media will be increased and strict action will be taken against those who spread fake news. As soon as information is received about any untoward incident, the district magistrate and senior police officers will immediately rush to the spot.
