Chief Minister Nitish Kumar presented appointment letters to 1 lakh 14 thousand 138 special teachers who cleared the competency test at a program organized at the convention building. This includes 98,349 primary school teachers, 12,524 secondary school teachers and 3,265 high school teachers. The Chief Minister symbolically presented letters of appointment to Sandhya Kumari, Rajneesh Kumar, Anjali Rani, Dharmendra Ram, Medini Bala and Dhaneshwar Singh during the program on Wednesday.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister welcomed everyone and said that the state government has already taken many steps in the field of education. CM Nitish said that it is a matter of great satisfaction that the employed teachers are being given the opportunity to clear the competency test. Since we took office in November 2005, work is underway to improve in all areas, including education, health, public order and transportation.

CM Nitish congratulated teachers

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said it is a matter of happiness that the teachers employed in today’s program have become government teachers after passing the competency test. Today they give you the letter of appointment. I wish all the teachers the best. He said that you all know that due to the shortage of teachers in the past, between 2006 and 2007, teachers were appointed on a large scale through the Panchayat and municipal bodies, the total number of which is approximately 3 lakh 67 thousand 143.

He said that in 2023, the Bihar Public Service Commission started the appointment of new teachers, in which 28 thousand employed teachers became government teachers. The remaining employed teachers demanded to become government teachers, so in the year 2023 itself, it was decided that the employed teachers would be given the opportunity to become government teachers by taking a separate minor examination and would be They would give five opportunities for it.

CM’s instructions to education department

The Chief Minister said that two examinations have been conducted so far. The first proficiency test was carried out. In which 87,818 lakh employed teachers have passed, whose certificates are being examined. So far, certificates of 1 lakh 14 thousand 138 government teachers have been deemed correct. Today they give you the letter of appointment. Verification of the certificates of the remaining teachers continues. The education department should complete the work quickly.

He said that so far 2 lakh 17 thousand 272 government teachers have been reinstated by the Bihar Public Service Commission in two phases, to whom appointment letters have been issued. The selection process is advancing in the third phase, the result of which was announced last week, in which 38,900 candidates passed the exam for new teaching positions. 42,918 candidates moved to the new position of Rector. All of them will be given appointment letters after a few days.

The government’s focus on the education and health sector

The Chief Minister said that we have been involved in the development of Bihar since 2005. Firstly, special attention has been paid to the fields of education and health. What was the condition of education before? Before there was no education, there was a shortage of schools and teachers, so many new schools were opened and new classrooms were built in many schools. The clothing program for boys and girls was started in the year 2006-2007. In 2008, a bicycle plan was started for ninth grade girls to go to school; Later, starting in 2010, bicycles were also given to children.

He said to promote girls’ education, higher secondary schools (10+2 schools) were opened in all panchayats. Previously, girls received Rs 10,000 upon passing grade 12, which has now been increased to Rs 25,000, while upon passing graduation, an incentive amount of Rs 50,000 increases from Rs 25,000. Now girls also study well and the number of boys and girls in schools has become almost equal.
