1 In Moradabad, SSP Moradabad removed from service a sub-inspector and two police officers in Kundarki after receiving the complaint. So far, 7 police officers have been suspended in the UP by-elections. One sub-inspector and two constables were removed from Moradabad, two sub-inspectors were suspended from Muzaffarnagar and two police officers were suspended from Kanpur.
2. Police arrested AIMIM candidate Arshad Rana’s son in Mirapur by-election. Arshad Rana’s son has been arrested in Kakrauli. After much jostling with the police, the police forced the AIMIM candidate’s son to sit in a jeep. Arshad Rana continued to fight to free his son from the police. He stopped the vehicle of district election officer Umesh Mishra and said, sir, please release my son.
3. During voting at Sisamau headquarters in Kanpur, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav accused the police administration of obstructing the voting. After its publication on social media, the Electoral Commission took notice and suspended two inspectors. Akhilesh Yadav has also filed eight complaints with the Election Commission.

He said, “The public has recognized the Samajwadi Party’s Jungle Raj.”
7. In Uttar Pradesh, the Public Works Department will rejuvenate 374 state, main and other district roads in the state in the new year. The department has started all preparations for it. The department has sent a proposal of Rs 7,214.44 crore to spend on construction of these roads, including their widening and renovation.
8. The first lane of the bridge being constructed on Ganga under phase 2 of the Varanasi Ring Road will become operational in February 2025. Both lanes of the bridge will be ready by June. District Magistrate S Rajalingam, while reviewing the under-construction projects, has directed the concerned departments to complete the work on time. The progress report must be delivered every 15 days.
9 budget and premium hotels will soon open in the Ropeway building in Varanasi. A budget hotel will be built on the third floor and a premium hotel on the fourth floor. Budget hotels will cater to poor and middle-income people, while premium hotels will attract higher income groups. Passenger movement will not slow down in the cable car building.
10 The Hindu side has gone to court and termed Sambhal’s Jama Masjid as a Harihar temple. Eight litigants, including Rishiraj Giri of Sambhal’s Kaila Devi temple, filed the suit in the High Division court of Civil Judge Aditya Kumar Singh in Chandausi. The court constituted a commission and requested a report. The next hearing has been set for November 29. On behalf of Supreme Court lawyer Harishankar Jain, his son Vishnu Shankar Jain filed a petition in the court on Tuesday.
