The Bangladesh Liberation War of 1971 caused many wounds to Bangladesh from Pakistan. Since then relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan have failed to develop, but now the Yunus government is changing this too. Last week, a cargo ship from Pakistan arrived at the port of Chittagong in Bangladesh. This was the first maritime contact between the two countries. The ship from Karachi landed the cargo on the southeastern coast of Bangladesh. Direct maritime connectivity between Pakistan and Bangladesh is a historic change.
