After getting approval for 41011 LED lights from the Department of Urban and Local Bodies, now the Municipal Corporation has issued a tender worth Rs 1,711.95 lakh for their installation. Under the LED lighting project, old, dull and defective sodium, CFL lights will also be replaced. This information was provided by Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ayush Sinha. He said the tendering agency will have to complete the LED installation work in the city within 18 months. Soon the streets and roads of the city will be illuminated with LED lights.

The new 41011 LED lights will work with a smart lighting system. For this purpose, the Common Control and Monitoring System (CCMS) will be provided with a computer base at the headquarters of the Municipal Corporation. Where CCMS will come to know if any light is out of order. This means that the company’s employees will not have to wait to receive the claim to find out about the defective light nor will they have to wander around to find it. Apart from this, these lights can be turned on and off from the office itself.
LED lights will be installed instead of the old sodium, CFL and tube lights, saving electricity.
Let us tell you that for Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Municipal Corporation area, approval of 41011 LED lights from ULB (Urban Local Body) has been given. A survey was conducted to find out where these lights would be installed. In this, 28 thousand new and 13 thousand old installation points for LED luminaires were identified (where sodium bulbs, light tubes and CFLs were installed). He also prepared the RPD for the project. Further actions were suspended for a few months due to the code of conduct due to the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections. As soon as the elections were over, the corporation officials made great efforts on the instructions of corporation commissioner Ayush Sinha to complete the project again. Corporation officials completed the administrative approval process for the fund. After which, the corporation has issued a tender worth Rs 1,711.95 lakh for installation of LED lights. The agency must complete the lighting installation work within a period of 18 months and five days from the award of the tender.
