Sports help in the physical and mental development of children – Mayor

◆ The two-day sports competition of the Basic Education Council began

Ayodhya. Two-day children’s sports competition of Basic Shiksha Parishad began at Maqbara sports stadium. The competition was inaugurated by Chief Guest Mayor Mahant Girish Pati Tripathi, MLA Ramchandra Yadav, Ved Prakash Gupta, Abhay Singh and District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh launching balloons. Children from all development blocks of the district paraded and saluted. The lovely children enthralled the chief guests and everyone present by presenting the welcome song and yoga programme.

Mayor Girish Tripathi said that sports help physical and mental development of children and children learn a lot from sports along with education. Rudauli MLA Ramchandra Yadav said that the state’s yogi government is making continuous efforts to advance children through sports.

City MLA Ved Prakash Gupta said that the Modi government at the Center and the Yogi government in the state are making continuous efforts for the advancement of children in sports along with education. MLA Abhay Singh said that it is very important to provide yoga education to children along with sports.

District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh said that children continuously bring glory through sports. The District Basic Education Officer expressed his gratitude to all the chief guests who attended the programme.
