Congress MLA from Beri Raghubir Kadian has been appointed as Protem president.
Chandigarh News (Aaj Samaj) Chandigarh: The first assembly session of the new government formed in Haryana will begin from today. In the session starting today, all MLAs will be administered oath of office and secrecy. Firstly, Governor Bandaru Dattatreya will administer oath to Protem President Raghubir Kadian. After that, Speaker Protem will administer oath to the newly elected MLAs. Raghubir Kadian is the Congress MLA from Beri assembly seat. He is the senior-most MLA in the House and has also been the Speaker of the Assembly in the past. That is why he has been appointed Protem Spokesperson. Raghubir Kadian had already administered oath to all MLAs in 2014 and 2019.
The names of the president and vice president of the Assembly will also be announced.
The names of the Assembly Speaker and Deputy Speaker were discussed at the BJP Legislative Party meeting held yesterday. The names of MLAs for the post of Speaker and Deputy Speaker may be announced during the Assembly session beginning today. Harvindra Kalyan, MLA from Gharaunda, Karnal, will surely become the speaker and Krishna Middha, MLA from Jind, will surely become the vice president. Bhiwani MLA Ghanshyam Saraf’s name for BJP’s Chief Whip is being discussed.
