UP by choice: Samajwadi Party (SP) leader and MLA Shivpal Singh Yadav made serious allegations against the BJP. During a press conference in Bareilly, he attacked the hooliganism and administrative bias played by the BJP in the by-elections.
BJP indulged in vandalism
Shivpal Singh Yadav said, “During the by-elections, the BJP indulged in hooliganism. “The BJP candidates got full support from the government and raised questions about the impartiality of the officials.” He alleged that the Bareilly SSP put pressure on the BJP to vote, while the district magistrate also influenced the fair electoral process.
Will make a list of officers.
The SP leader further said, “We will make a list of officers who support the BJP as soon as we come to power. We will present it to the public.” Shivpal also alleged that SP voters were not allowed to reach the polling booths, and that BJP supporters were snatching Aadhaar cards from their voters and throwing them out of the polling centre. He expressed confidence that the SP will still manage to win 5-6 seats in the by-elections.
Shivpal’s statement on Karhal murder case
Shivpal Singh Yadav also mentioned the Karhal murder case and described it as a matter related to a love story. “The Karhal murder case is purely related to personal motives and there is no political conspiracy in it,” he said.
Electoral promises turned out to be empty
Shivpal also attacked the working style of the BJP government. He said, “In 8 years, the BJP has not even filled the potholes on the roads. “Electoral promises have proven to be empty.”
Close contest in the 9 seats
He also said that in the upcoming elections there will be a close contest between the BJP and the SP for the 9 seats. SP workers and leaders will enter the electoral field in full force and will pose a tough challenge to the BJP.
