The government is coming up with special schemes for farmers. whose benefits are reaching farmers directly. Just a few days ago, the government had transferred Rs 2,000 each to the bank accounts of farmers. Now the federal government has taken another decision in the interest of farmers. Taking a big decision in the interest of farmers, the government has announced a new compensation policy for high voltage power lines and towers crisscrossing the fields.

Announcing this policy in the winter session of the Assembly, Chief Minister Nayab Saini said farmers will receive twice the market compensation for their land, where electricity towers will be built. Farmers will receive compensation of 30% of the market price for land through which high-voltage power lines pass. A user committee was formed under the chairmanship of SDM.

When giving information, he said that to determine the amount of compensation, the land up to a radius of 1 meter from the area of the base of the tower will be counted. To make this process transparent, a user committee has been formed under the presidency of the SDM, which will submit its report to the Deputy Commissioner. If a farmer has any problem related to compensation, he can appeal to the Divisional Commissioner.
