The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has intensified preparations for the Delhi Assembly elections. There is an AAP PAC meeting today. In this meeting the strategy for the assembly elections will be discussed. Along with this, the first list of candidates may also be published. The dates of the Delhi Assembly elections are yet to be announced, but before this, the change of party leaders in Delhi has begun.
Recently, former Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi government’s Transport Minister Kailash Gehlot joined the BJP, while former BJP leader and two-time MLA Anit Jha joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Earlier, former BJP MLA Brahm Singh Tanwar had also joined the AAP. He has also been an MLA three times and a councilor three times.
The mandate will end on February 23, 2025.
Elections may be held in all 70 Delhi assembly seats in February. The term of the current assembly will end on February 23, 2025. However, elections can be held any time before this. There is currently an Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi.
Recently, Arvind Kejriwal had resigned from the post of Delhi CM. After his resignation, Atishi became CM of Delhi. She has become the third woman CM of Delhi. Before this, Sushma Swaraj and Sheila Dikshit were the CMs of Delhi.
