Gill narrowly missed
Shubhman Gill entered the field on the second day with luck on his side. Had luck not been on his side, his wicket would have fallen on the fourth ball of the day. In fact, New Zealand started the first over with Santner, who had a strong LBW appeal off his fourth ball. After the appeal to the on-field umpire was rejected, New Zealand took the DRS, after which the decision was left to the umpire and Gill was saved.
