Data shared in Parliament

According to data shared in Parliament by MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi in July this year, 49,342 MSMEs have closed since 2020 and a total of 3,17,641 jobs were lost due to closure of MSMEs. “Due to various reasons like change of business owner, certificate no longer required, duplicate registration and other similar reasons, MSMEs are either deregistered or shown closed on the portal,” Manjhi said in a written reply to a Lok Sabha question.
