Charges in 20 minutes and the best driving range! Big reveal about Mahindra’s new electric SUV: Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6e Both electric SUVs will be based on INGLO architecture

Mahindra is gearing up to deliver a major update to its electric vehicle portfolio this month. The company will present its two new electric SUVs XEV 9e and BE 6e to the world on November 26. Ahead of this launch, the company has shared with us some information related to this SUV. The company says both SUVs will be based on Mahindra’s electric-sourced INGLO architecture.

Battery pack and charging:

Both electric SUVs are based on Mahindra’s INGLO platform, which is scalable and modular. Both models will come with 59kWh and 79kWh battery packs that include an LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery. Additionally, Mahindra has revealed that the battery can be charged from 20 to 80 percent in just 20 minutes using a 175 kW DC fast charger.

Powertrain and autonomy:

Both Mahindra BE 6e and XEV 9e feature the ‘Three-in-One Compact Powertrain’ system. Which is made up of motor, inverter and transmission. Engine power will be between 231hp and 286hp depending on the application. Note that these numbers are only for the rear-axle-mounted motor and the BE 6e, which is expected to come in all-wheel drive AWD form. Because the engine is provided on the front axle, you will get more power. However, the company has not yet shared any information regarding autonomy, etc. of these two SUVs.

Lightweight Flat Floor Design:

The company says the INGLO is the lightest flat deck skateboard frame in the industry. Which has been combined with high-density battery technology. This unique architecture makes it possible to take advantage of every centimeter of space inside the cabin. In addition to improving the driving experience, this car also improves the comfort and flexibility of the seats. Designed with modularity and scalability in mind, this architecture will be found in both SUVs.

Better security:

Safety is very important in a car and INGLO goes one step further. Ultra-high-strength boron steel and reinforced front structure provide superior car safety. The company says that in this architecture, the battery has been placed low center based on gravity, which improves both stability and handling. Its body has been designed to withstand high temperatures and harsh crash tests.

Mahindra says the NGLO features a best-in-segment semi-active suspension system, high-power steering and brake-by-wire technology. Along with all these features, it creates an SUV that makes the driving experience great.
