Mumbai: Even before the results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections were announced, political agitation had intensified. Top leaders of Maha Vikas Aghadi held a meeting for about an hour and a half at Hotel Grand Hyatt in Santa Cruz, Mumbai. Shiv Sena-UBT’s Sanjay Raut and Anil Desai, NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Jayant Patil and Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat and other MVA leaders participated in the meeting. All the leaders left the hotel after the meeting at seven in the afternoon.

Maha Vikas Aghadi will work on this strategy

According to sources, what will be the alliance’s strategy after the results are announced on Saturday? This has been discussed. Sources said that in the meeting the three parties decided to immediately contact the rebels in their party who can win the elections. After the results, all parties should keep their mutual action agreements together. If necessary, move to a hotel so there is no chance of sabotage.

Exit poll predicts formation of Mahayuti government

We inform you that elections were held on November 20 in all seats of Maharashtra. Around 63 per cent of the voting took place in Maharashtra. Exit polls have affirmed the formation of a BJP-led grand alliance government. The opposition rejected this and said a coalition government will be formed in the state.

Sanjay Raut had this to say about Nana Patole’s statement

At the same time, Shiv Sena (UBT) is not happy with Maharashtra Congress unit president Nana Patole’s comment that a Congress-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government will be formed in the state. Sanjay Raut on Thursday said the alliance partners will decide the face of the chief minister. Patole had said after voting in Wednesday’s state assembly elections that the Congress-led Maha Vikas Aghadi government would be formed in Maharashtra. Trends show that Congress will get maximum seats.

Raut said Maha Vikas Aghadi will form the government but MVA alliance partners will jointly decide the choice of chief minister. Raut said if the Congress high command has told Patole that he will be the chief ministerial face, then Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, party leaders Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi should announce it.
