Vij, while talking about various works at Ambala Cantonment railway station and railway colony, asked them to complete them soon so that the general public can get their benefits at the earliest.
He spoke to DRM Mandeep Singh Bhatia about the development of Ambala Cantonment Railway Station as a modern station and learned about the work to be done. He said the Railways should soon work to make Cantonment station a modern railway station so that passenger facilities can be increased.
He said Ambala Cantonment railway station is a major railway junction of north India and railway facilities here should be expanded and modernised. He also spoke about other important aspects related to the station. The senior MCD and other officials of the Railway Division were present on this occasion.
Discussion on track repair and completion of other works in Colonia Ferroviaria.
Cabinet Minister Anil Vij asked DRM to start road repair work in Railway Colony soon. He said the condition of many roads and streets is not good and needs repair.
Apart from this, instructions were given to further improve the cleaning work on drains and streets and improve drainage in the colony. He said wherever street lighting in the neighborhood is not adequate, it should also be repaired so that people do not have to face problems while moving around at night.
Bridge under Ambala-Saharanpur railway route to be redesigned: Vij
Energy and Transport Minister Anil Vij gave directions to redesign the railway under the bridge near Shastri Colony on the Ambala-Saharanpur railway line. He said the existing underground bridge has drainage and other problems that need to be rectified, so it should be redesigned to build a new underground bridge here.
It is noteworthy that every day thousands of people from Railway Colony, Dudhla Mandi, Gulab Mandi, Shivala Mandi, Shahpur, Shastri Colony, Bandhu Nagar and other colonies come and go towards Sadar area through this underground bridge and this is a busy underground bridge in the cantonment. .
