A shocking case came to light in Kannauj, UP, where a husband performed Shraddha of his first wife while she was still alive to marry for the second time. Not only this, the husband also uploaded photos of his wife Shraddha and Shanti Path’s death on social media. On these pictures he had written: “May God give peace to Pooja’s soul.” Pooja is his wife’s name.

Actually, there was a dispute between husband and wife, so Pooja lived in her maternal house. When her husband’s misdeeds came to light through social media, Pooja called for justice. He reached the office of Kannauj SP. She claimed that her husband kept their two children with him by force. He has kidnapped them.

Pooja, originally a resident of Kidwai Nagar in Kanpur, said she was married to Pawan Patel, a resident of Talgram area in Kannauj, in March 2009. She has two children. About two and a half years ago, Pawan eloped with a girl, after which there was a dispute with her. She then came with her children to her parents’ house in Kanpur and has been living here since then. Meanwhile, it came to light that the husband had remarried and proved that I was dead.

He realized Shraddha as a living wife.

Pooja further said that even when I was alive, my husband Pawan Patel performed my Shraddha on June 23, 2023 and then married for the second time. According to Pooja, one day I came to know through social media that my husband proved that I was dead by posting my photo. There was a necklace in one of my photos and a lamp and incense sticks were burning in front of it. It was written on the photo: May God rest Pooja’s soul.
