Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, at the ‘Partnership Conclave’ organized in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, described the involvement of technology, government schemes and the private sector as necessary for sustainable development of the state and improvement of the agricultural sector. Representatives from various national and international institutions participated in the event, organized in collaboration with the World Bank and the Gates Foundation.

Highlighting the challenges and achievements of the state, CM Yogi said that efforts are being made to connect farmers and the agriculture sector in Uttar Pradesh with new technologies and resources. He shared the achievements of the state government that have brought about important changes in recent years. CM Yogi said that today the farmers of the state are being empowered by solar panels, the state has become a strong energy hub.

Getting rid of encephalitis is an inspiring success-CM
Describing the eradication of encephalitis, once considered the “cause of death” in Uttar Pradesh, as a major success of the state, CM Yogi said that before 2017, 1,500 to 2,000 children died due to it every year. disease, but the state government with the cooperation of WHO, Gates Foundation, UNICEF and other organizations, this problem was completely eliminated in just three years. He said that it is a result of governance, technology and public participation that there are no deaths due to encephalitis in UP today.

The Chief Minister said that Uttar Pradesh has the most fertile land and water resources in the country, offering huge potential in the agricultural sector. He reported that 89 Agricultural Science Centers and 6 Agricultural Universities currently operate in the state, which play an important role in stimulating farmers and their connection with new technologies. He said that around 1 lakh farmers have been provided with solar panels so far, which has helped solve irrigation and electricity problems. The state government has also taken important steps to provide cheap electricity to farmers.

CM Yogi said unless farmers adopt new technologies, no growth is expected in the agricultural sector. Awareness campaigns and extension programs are needed to bring the technology to farmers. Through Krishi Vigyan Kendras and Centers of Excellence, farmers should be shown experimentally how new technologies can bring about changes in agriculture.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that along with the government schemes, private sector participation is also necessary. Only through collaboration can agricultural productivity be increased by 3 to 4 times. The private sector is encouraged to contribute to the development of the State. The Chief Minister said the priority of the state government is to provide quality seeds to farmers on time, make proper use of water resources and promote new agriculture-related ventures. He highlighted that the right plans and their effective implementation can bring unprecedented changes in the agricultural sector.

Expressing gratitude to the Gates Foundation, World Bank and other international institutions, the Chief Minister said their expertise and cooperation have accelerated the pace of change in Uttar Pradesh. He said that for us this partnership is the foundation of development and will provide a better future to the farmers and people of Uttar Pradesh. Through the Partnership Conclave, the Chief Minister called for promoting technology, awareness and innovation in agriculture and other sectors.

Cabinet ministers Surya Pratap Shahi, Anil Rajbhar, state minister Dinesh Pratap Singh, chief secretary Manoj Singh and officials and dignitaries of related departments were present at the conclave.
