Three women were killed and four others injured in a tragic road accident in Bulandshahr, UP, on Thursday. This accident occurred when everyone was returning home in a rickshaw after attending a religious program.
Bulandshahr rural police station in-charge Shailendra Pratap Singh said Rajendra, 55, Gangavati, 50, and Radha, 50, residents of Kudwal Banaras village, died on the spot.
According to the news agency report, the police said that a speeding truck collided with the rickshaw, causing the accident. After the accident, with the help of the local population, the injured were taken to hospital, where their treatment continues.
The police arrested the truck driver and a detailed investigation into the case was launched. Police are trying to determine whether the accident occurred due to the driver’s negligence or some other reason.
There is mourning throughout the area over this incident. The victim’s families have demanded the administration to take strict action against the truck driver. People have asked the administration to take strict measures to prevent such accidents.
