Gurugram: Thousands of people living in Gurugram, Haryana, adjacent to Delhi, could face water shortage on Friday. Due to main pipeline repair work at Kadipur Chowk, water supply will be disrupted in several areas of Gurugram between 10 am and 10 pm on Friday. The Basai water plant and Sector 16 booster station will be closed for 12 hours on Friday due to repair work carried out by the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA), an official said.
Water supply will continue to be interrupted in these areas
According to an official statement issued by GMDA, water supply will be affected in many areas of the city including Village Basai, Kadipur, Sirhole, Chakarpur, Nathupur, Sikandarpur, Hans Enclave, Sectors 10A, 37, 34, 14, 16. 17, 18 and 15, and DLF Phases 1 to 4, among other places, people may face water shortages.
Apart from this, there will also be no water supply in Cyber City and Udyog Vihar Phase-I, II, III, IV and V, South City-I, Sushant Lok-II and MG Road, Surya Vihar (Dundahera). GMDA has advised citizens to store water and not waste it to avoid drought conditions.
