At the News9 Global Summit, My Home Group Vice President Ramu Rao Jupalli said that I am happy to be here. Some time ago, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia spoke about the energy that is giving impetus to the new India.
I come from a family of businessmen. I can tell you how different India is today from the India of my father’s generation. My father Rama Rao Jupalli started his career as a homeopathic doctor. But I wanted to do business and create jobs. He wanted to increase wealth for himself and his investors.
He was from a family of farmers, he did not have financial or any other type of support. He changed careers and started with a piece of land, which gave him the opportunity to set up a real estate company and from there he moved into the cement industry. The company founded by my father has today built more than 50 million square feet and is developing several million square feet. Likewise, in the cement industry, 12 million tons of cement are produced every year, an amount that should be increased to 20 million tons in the future.
Ramu Rao Jupalli, vice-president of My Home Group, said my father struggled a lot to make his business successful. Unfortunately, an unfavorable economic environment for business did not exist in India at that time. Today’s story is different. Today, Indian startups are valued at over $1 billion. People from all corners of the world are investing in India because they believe that it is a country of young and bright people.
Today there are opportunities and challenges in the country. As a young entrepreneur, I think I have to do better than my father.
