On receiving information that the farmers had broken the lock, police and administration officials reached the spot and tried to pacify the farmers.

Lakshmi, secretary of Purba Cooperative Society, said that today we were at home, when in the morning the farmers broke the lock of their society and took out the fertilizer bags.
