A horrific road accident occurred in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand on Thursday. This accident occurred in Gorhar police station area in Barkatha block. A private bus going from Kolkata to Patna went out of control and overturned in a pothole on the roadside. Seven people died and 12 were seriously injured in this accident. Upon receiving the information, the police arrived and immediately took everyone to the primary health center, where upon seeing the serious condition, they were referred to Hazaribagh Medical College.
This road accident occurred just 200 meters from Gorhar Police Station. The bus named ‘Vaishali’, which was going from Kolkata to Patna, lost control in the Gorhar police station area and overturned into a pit on the roadside. Currently the path is one way. Due to the construction of six lanes, the company cut the road and abandoned it. Hearing the screams, nearby villagers reached the spot and with the help of Gorhar police station, took out the injured from the bus.
Critical condition of 12 passengers, admitted to medical school
Following the accident, seven passengers died on the spot, while 12 passengers were admitted to the primary health care center in critical condition. After first aid here, all of them were referred to Hazaribagh District Hospital. According to reports, the number of women among the dead is high. As soon as information about the accident was received, former MLA Janaki Yadav and her team also reached the spot. He arranged for first aid to be provided. The injured were sent to Hazaribagh Medical College after receiving first aid with the help of an ambulance.
The construction of a six-lane highway takes six years
It is said that more than 20 deaths have occurred here in the last two years. This incident that occurred on Thursday is the biggest incident so far.
