Bushra Bibi, wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, has made a shocking revelation. Bushra Bibi has alleged that Saudi Arabia played a major role in removing her husband Imran Khan from power.
In a video message, Bushra claimed that after Imran Khan’s barefoot symbolic visit to Medina, Saudi officials contacted former Pakistan army chief General (retd) Qamar Javed Bajwa and expressed concern over the leadership of Khan.
Saudi officials had called Bajwa
According to Bushra, Saudi officials asked Bajwa why a person like Imran Khan was allowed to come to power, claiming that their country did not want leaders who symbolized a return to Sharia law. Bushra claimed that Saudi Arabia’s actions were motivated by its efforts to distance itself from strict religious principles.

These allegations have come to light amid the ongoing political turmoil in Pakistan, where Imran Khan is fighting a legal battle and facing increasing pressure from the government.
Bajwa denied the allegations.
In response, General Bajwa clearly denied these claims in an interview with Pakistan’s ARY News. He called Bushra Bibi’s allegations baseless and said no such call was received from Saudi Arabia after Khan’s visit. Bajwa said, “These are false claims. No such conversation or intervention took place.”
Due to this controversy, the political scenario in Pakistan seems to be heading towards polarization. While PTI supporters support Bushra Bibi’s statement, critics question the veracity of her allegations.
Imran has been calling out foreign powers.
Let us tell you that Imran Khan, who was Prime Minister of Pakistan from 2018 to 2022, has been saying for a long time that external and internal forces had conspired to remove him. His relations with Saudi Arabia have also been the subject of speculation, as his government had emphasized close relations with the kingdom during his tenure.

Bushra Bibi’s allegations add a new dimension to the story, implicating one of Pakistan’s closest allies in a political conspiracy against Khan. As the political drama unfolds, these claims are likely to further deepen the already tense relations between the PTI and the Pakistani government.
This fact also raises questions about Saudi Arabia’s role in influencing the politics of neighboring countries. Bushra Bibi’s claim is such that Saudi Arabia has not responded directly.
