Haryana News: New districts to be formed in Haryana only after census

Census work will begin in January 2025
Chandigarh News (Aaj Samaj) Chandigarh: Currently no new districts will be created in Haryana. Because the census work will begin in the first week of January 2025. Therefore, the work of creating new districts may be put on hold until the census is carried out. Work will be done to create new districts only after census work is completed. Currently, the government has prohibited changes to administrative borders. Which will continue until the census is carried out. It is noteworthy that in Haryana there has been a long-standing demand to create Hansi, Assandh, Dabwali, Manesar and Gohana districts.

Even before the recently concluded Vidhan Sabha elections, residents of Gohana were hopeful that the CM might announce that Gohana would become a district. But now this work has been put on hold. The work of creating sub-division of Bawani Kheda and Kalanaur will also be done only after the census. Last year, in the month of December, the government created six new sub-divisions: Manesar, Nilokheri, Israna, Chhachhrauli, Nangal Chaudhary, Mahendragarh and Julana. Despite the announcement that Bawani Kheda and Kalanaur would be given sub-division status, this could not happen.

The committee will be formed again

In this regard, Financial Commissioner, Revenue and Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Revenue and Disaster Management, Anurag Rastogi, has issued directions. On the other hand, the leaders of the committee formed under the chairmanship of the then Agriculture Minister Kanwarpal Gurjar, which included Finance Minister Jaiprakash Dalal, Minister of State for Development and Panchayat Mahipal Dhanda, Minister of State for Local Bodies Urban, Subhash Sudha, also be trained again. In the recently concluded assembly elections, JP Dalal, Kanwarpal Gurjar and Subhash Sudha lost the elections, necessitating reconstitution of the committee. At present, there will not be many obstacles for Hansi and Dabwali, which are police districts, to become normal districts.
